**We offer special programs for our military and their families to help ease transitions from tours of duty, to homecoming, and all the times in between.
* The Equine Ability Program is brand new and we'll be announcing our opening day soon! We are located in Springfield, TN at C 'n' J Training stables. Our founder, Kimberly Carnevale, is a former USET hopeful who suffered from the life-altering effects of PTSD, depression and cognitive dysfunction after a car accident left her with a traumatic brain injury and years later, a home invasion and brutal attack hightened her PTSD to a nearly debilitating level. She utilized her athlete's training, cognitive rehabilitation techniques, and Neuro linguistic programing in order to get relief . Today, she's set out to help others through the innovative techniques she created for this program. (To learn more about Kimberly and her amazing story: click HERE.)
We are a subsidary of the award-winning, Canine and Abled, Inc. and Canine Ability programs (as featured on TV, magazines, and the book, "Canine and Abled, Taking The Dis Out of Disabled"); and offer the same character-bulding motivational principles that have made these programs so successful. In addition, we offer a unique, innovative curriculum to help PTSD patients resume a sense of normalcy in their lives.
Our mission is to help those who suffer from the devastating effects of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, depression, and other emotional issues find peace, hope and healing through equine assisted activities and application of Scripture to enhance the healing of body, mind and spirit. *We use horses rescued from abusive/neglectful situations to help heal our clients.
Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and depression are debilitating disorders that put lives on hold, makes enjoyment of normal activities difficult, and puts strain on relationships. Post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) is an anxiety disorder that can occur after you have been through a traumatic event. A traumatic event is something horrible and scary that you see or that happens to you. During this type of event, you think that your life or others' lives are in danger. You may feel afraid or feel that you have no control over what is happening (for more about PTSD, symptoms, and treatment see: What IS Post Traumatic Stress Disorder)
Utilizing the proven benefits of *Neuro-Lingusitic Programing (NLP), in conjunction with focusing on pertinent biblical passages, participants in the Equine Ability Program learn intrinsic self-motivation through several fun and stress-relieving equine-assisted activities.
* Neuro-Linguistic Programing- a system of alternative therapy based which seeks to educate people in self-awareness and effective communication, and to change their patterns of mental and emotional behavior.

Weather our clients suffer from grief of losing a relationship or loved one, to the fear or loss of a job, to difficulty transitioning in a new life situation; our "equine therapists" are ready and waiting to help heal hearts through our innovative program! No former horse experience is necessary. Students should be prepared with clothing appropriate to the weather, a sturdy boot with a heel (not fashion heel), a ASTM/SEI approved riding helmet, and a prayerful mindset.
